Meeting of „Baltinfect” project  Advisory Board, Steering Committee and Project management team with participation of five international experts took place in Riga Stradinš University on 4-5 September 2014. The following five international experts joined the meeting: Maria Sὄderlund-Venermo (Finland), Dari di Luca (Italy), Thomas Schulz (Germany), Jonas Blomberg (Sweden), Frank Graage (Germany).

During the meeting the main results were evaluated and the report submitted by the Advisory Board was discussed. Discussions were held on the progress of the project, attained results and achievement of project objectives within the first year.

In general 14 deliverables have been submitted to the European Commission after the first year of project implementation. Among the key deliverables of the project were recruitment of incoming experienced researchers, equipment upgrade, exchange of two-way secondments between RSU and partnering institutions etc. Strategic Intellectual Property Development Plan and Research Management Handbook for RSU, contributed and edited by Frank Graage, Katja Wolter, Uldis Berķis, Zita Martuļeva and Aija Abens, were presented during the meeting.

After the meeting invited international guests had an opportunity to visit the Pauls Stradiņš Museum for History of Medicine.
