26th European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases took place on 9-12 April, 2016 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. ESCMID Networking Corner 2016, in which the BALTINFECT project team was invited to participate with a poster presentation, as usual was organized within the congress.

The professor and the project WP6 leader Angelika Krūmiņa represented the BALTINFECT project.

The 10th International Congress on Autoimmunity took place on 6-10 April, 2016 in Leipzig, Germany to discuss the latest therapeutic techniques and diagnostic tools as well as the most up-to-date research in genetics, aetiology, diagnostics, clinical aspects and novel therapies for autoimmune diseases.

Three representatives from A.Kirhenšteins Institute of Microbiology and Virology: the associate professor Modra Murovska, the researcher of BALTINFECT project Maria Issagouliantis and the assistant Maksims Čistjakovs participated with poster presentations.

Poster presentations: 10th International Congress on Autoimmunity

On 5th April 2016 a workshop “Licensing as one of the exploitation channels for public research results in biotech and life sciences” will be held at Rīga Stradiņš University. The workshop is organised within the framework of the project BALTINFECT.

The purpose of this workshop is to consider the issues related to the licensing as one of the commercialisation channels and also see practical examples in biotech and medicine sectors from Technical University Munich.

On 1 April 2016 Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) signed a contract with the association "Enixus Baltics" (representing Accelerace) to bring research based technologies closer to market.
