The XV Parvovirus Workshop 2014 took place in Bordeaux, France from 23.06 to 25.06. 2014.

On 3 - 4 July 2014 workshop on „Completive development of projects and preparation of application within the EU research and innovation programme Horizon 2020” took place in Tallink Hotel Rīga.

Workshop was organized to enhance a capability of researchers, project managers, financial specialists to participate in EU research and innovation programme Horizon 2020 with competitive project  proposals.

Workshop lead by Frank Graage and Mareike Weingärtner from Steinbeis Research Center Technology Management Northeast -  a company which is familiar with EU research programmes and has many years of experience in application and implementation EU projects.


On 29 April 2014 meeting of Association of Latvian Medical Microbiologists was held, during which Baltinfect project coordinator, academician Modra Murovska gave presentation to association members on the project „Unlocking infectious diseases research potential at Riga Stradiņš University”, as well as the current and potential research projects in the field of the research of infectious diseases. Flyer containing the information on project goals and activities were distributed to the participants of the meeting.

On 29 April geneXplain Ltd carried out hands-on training in handling geneXplain platform. The training took place within the framework of the project "Unlocking infectious diseases research potential at Rīga Stradiņš University".

Lecturers Dr Olga Kel-Margoulis un Dr Alexander Kel prepared training programme that consisted of introduction with to theoretical functionalities of the geneXplain platform and as well as practical application of the programme for the interpretation of results to be used in participants’ research projects.
